Heidi Tyedmers has an Honours BA from the University of Toronto in Anthropology and Biomedical Ethics, and an MA from the University of Victoria in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Oceania. She worked for CUSO in Vanuatu. In Vanuatu she worked for the Vanuatu Young People Project which mostly focused on young people and some of the urban settlement areas.
