Owen Gaskell worked in a teacher training college in East Malaysia from 1973-1975, providing post secondary trainings for teachers. He reflects on his experience overseas with his partner, and daughter. On assignment, he worked in the Educational Psychology department where he taught teaching techniques. He says, he gained an interest in working with special needs students, and later pursued a career in counseling psychology upon returning.
